Our architectural services are delivered in project stages, with a sign-off and approval process between each stage:
Concept Design
We start from scratch. We work with you to refine your brief, assess applicable planning controls, establish project objectives and set a budget.
Design Development
Once we’ve reached an agreed scheme, we then develop and refine the design, adding in detail and expanding functionality.
Approval drawings
Whether a development application (DA) or Complying Development Certificate (CDC)
Contract/ construction documentation
We prepare a comprehensive set of drawings and schedules to describe a project in the detail needed.
Construction stage
We support you for the duration of the construction.
We know that every project is different, and can tailor these services to suit individual project needs.
We can either design a project for you to Passivhaus standard as part of architectural services,
Or
We can work with your architect to achieve a Passivhaus design. In this arrangement we would consult with your architect on materials, details etc.
Darren is a Certified Passivhaus Designer.
We love working on project interiors, and believe that a holistic and integrated approach to the project from the outside in and the inside out can make for a project that feels cohesive, comfortable and unique.
Our approach to interior design is to focus on function first – to work through the specific and individual requirements that clients may have, and then to build up a materials palette to capture the project vision.
We prioritise materials that are healthier, responsibly sourced, and are low in carbon/ carbon neutral.
Green infrastructure is critical infrastructure. And yet it is significantly missed in all planning and infrastructure legislation.
At Archi-ncane we are passionate about bridging the gap between aspirations and planning provisions to achieve real world outcomes that provide sensitive water management, habitat, food, natural carbon capture (through natural systems) and community healing.
